How to create an ARK: Survival Evolved server with DNSworld
Before Starting
Here are a few things to consider before starting an ARK: Survival Evolved server
You will need to ensure ARK: Survival Evolved is installed onto your computer. Download ARK: Survival Evolved on Steam (opens in a new tab) if you haven't already.

Server Setup
How to setup your server using the DNSworld dashboard.
Login
Log in into your account to access the DNSworld dashboard.
Activate Server
Once your account has been created and have logged-in, you will have to choose ARK from the drop-down menu and press ACTIVATE BETA SERVER. This will automatically create your server.
Access Your Server
Your server will show up under Your Servers. Click onto your Ark server as shown below to access your server dashboard.
Obtain Server IP and Port
Once logged into your server dash ensure you let the download sequence finalize and ensure your server is running by pressing Start once the installation process is complete (this might take up to 10 minutes as it is quite a large game file).
On the top ribbon click on the network tab to access your server IP address and Port (ensure it is the ARK query port used by steam server browser and ARK client server browser. You can check which query is which in the Startup tab). We recommend keeping this page open to easily access your IP address and port when launching the game through Steam.
Configure Steam Game Servers
Once you have the network tab open, open Steam and navigate the top ribbon and select on View and then Game Servers.
Add Server to Steam
On the bottom ribbon select the + to create a new game server connection. A text field will appear under Add server by IP, in which you will input the server IP Address and Port separated by a colon : before pressing OK.
Example: 123.456.78.910:27015 (replace with your server IP and port).
Connect
It will now show up in your Game Servers in which you will select the Ark Server and press Connect on the bottom left side of the screen.
Launch ARK: Survival Evolved
Ark will automatically open ARK: Survival Evolved, and the server will automatically connect you within 30 seconds to a minute. Happy gaming from the DNSworld team!
