How to create an Terraria server with DNSworld
Before Starting
Here are a few things to consider before starting a Terraria server: You will need to install Terraria from Steam. Download Here (opens in a new tab)

If you don't already have an DNSworld account, click here to Create an Account and run your own Terraria server.
Server Setup
How to setup your server using the DNSworld dashboard.
Login
Log in into your account to access the DNSworld dashboard.

Activate Server
Once your account has been created and have logged-in, you will have to choose Terraria from the drop down and press ACTIVATE BETA SERVER
. This will automatically create your server.

Access Your Server
Your server will show up under Your Servers. Click onto your Terraria Server as shown below to access your server dash.

Obtain Server IP and Port
Once logged into your server dash on the top ribbon click on the Network
tab to access your server IP Address and Port. These will be crucial when connecting to your server in game. We recommend keeping this page open to easily access your IP address and port when launching the game.

Launch Terraria
Launch Terraria via Steam and select Multiplayer in the menu as shown below.

Select Join via IP
Once pressed, the menu select Join Via IP as shown below.

Create Character
Once selected it will prompt you to create your first character.
Do note: Our current BETA servers by default run Journey world, so you will need to select a Journey Character. If you would like to change game versions, please contact us at [email protected] or open a ticket in our Discord (opens in a new tab).

Finalize Character
Once your Character has been created simply press Create as shown in the example above.
Enter IP Address
It will prompt you to enter your server IP Address, simply copy the IP address collected in Step 4. Press Enter to access the Server Port screen.

Enter Port
Once your IP Address has been filled, simply enter your Server Port collected in Step 4. Press Enter and the server will automatically connect you within 15 to 30 seconds. Happy Gaming from the DNSworld team!
